Effect

Effect blocks do not work on their own. They depend on the existence of a passage block right next to them.

[#passage] Offer a prayer to the ancient gods [/passage] [#effect] @spirituality += 1, @science -= 1 [/effect]

::: this won't work [#effect] @spirituality += 1, @science -= 1 [/effect]

Syntax

Contents inside are evaluated upon user action and change the specified variables.

[#effect] <variable> <effect operator> <value> [/effect]

Tip

To modify multiple variables at once, just separate each action with a comma. Trailing commas aren’t allowed.

You can use calculated values through interpolation syntax.

[#passage] Search for clues in the library [/passage] [#effect] @intelligence += {{ 1 * @luck }} [/effect]
